We raise Standard Rex, and the rare breeds Beverens, American Chinchillas for fur, meat, pet and show. We don't eat the meat ourselves, but use it to feed our dog and cats, and sell to owners who feed likewise. We do sell quality breeding stock for home meat programs and show. We have toned down the Rex program, and currently only keep a pair of favorites, a black and a chocolate otter. We will be focusing more on the rare breeds, the Beverens and American Chinchillas. Both very rare breeds, being listed in the American Livestock Breeds Concervacy list. Beverens are under watch, and the American Chins are listed as critial, in danger of extintion. They certainly are a challenge to find!!
I used to raise German Angoras, absolutely stunning fiber rabbits. But, my illness was causing a huge strain, and we elected to sell them all until we got things under control, if we could. I am glad to say that things are doing much better, and I hope to again aquire a few of these magnificent animals, mainly for my own enjoyment, and a rare litter.
